Dear Member
Thank you to everyone who attended Saturday morning’s presentation. It marked an important milestone in St Peter’s journey – sharing our new governance model, strengthening our finances, resetting the Club Plan and future-proofing the Club.
For those unable to attend, I want to repeat what I said on Saturday and acknowledge the tremendous work that has taken place behind the scenes to get us to this point. As you know, over the past number of months, the Integration sub-Committee – a group of six dedicated volunteers – has worked selflessly and with great care in the best interests of the Club as a whole. Their time, energy and commitment reflect the kind of leadership and forwardthinking we want to see throughout our Club and I think it's important to recognise the role they’ve played in helping all of us to look to the future and to think differently about how we work together and support one another across all areas of the Club.
As I said on Saturday, this is about more than just structures or titles – it’s about moving away from the traditional language of “Football” and “Social” and instead embracing a shared identity as One Club, with a shared purpose. That doesn’t mean losing sight of our history or what’s gone before. Quite the opposite – it means building on it and ensuring we’re fit for the future. But for that to happen, it will take all of us – working together with mutual respect, shared ambition and a united focus on what’s best for St Peter’s Club.
Along with a summary of the key messages, the full presentation is available by clicking on the link here. Please take time to consider and I know you’ll approach it with the same spirit of openness and positivity that has brought us this far. Finally, let’s keep working together – as one Club, with one vision – to make St Peter’s the best it can be, on & off the field.
Ní neart go cur le chéile.

Summary of the Key Governance Changes:
1. New Governance Model: a clearer separation between strategic leadership and day-today operations is now in place.

3. Stronger Financial Oversight: fundraising and sponsorship activities are now centrally managed to ensure transparency and maximise impact.
4. Building for the Future (Phase 3): a renewed push to grow member support for our BFTF scheme will underpin future capital developments.
5. Improved Communication & Culture: a commitment to openness, unity, and inclusive language replaces any notion of “them and us”.
6. Centralised Digital Systems: club policies, agendas, and minutes will be securely stored online and organised by section.
7. Defined Roles & Responsibilities: terms of reference are being introduced for all committees, sub-committees, and designated volunteer roles.
8. Resetting the Club Plan: the 3-Year Development Plan is being refreshed with new targets and monitored by the new Development Committee.
9. Succession Planning: future-proofing the Club is a shared priority, with a focus on leadership development across all areas.
